Throughout the holiday period, London is transformed into a very special place. Suddenly, shopping becomes all about the festive experience – in addition to picking up an armful of stocking fillers. The House of Photography is no exception.
This year, we’ve launched our first ever winter installation! The store is full of exciting photo hot-spots to check out, as you journey through our Arctic Adventure. Of course, you can still browse X Series, GFX System and instax products, create professional print gifts and get expert advice – just like always. So, pay us a visit for a social-worthy selfie with friends or some family memories.
When you enter the first floor, beware of broken ice. The giant shard protrudes from the ground, illuminated and reflective, making it perfect for your first selfie of the day. Then, it’s onto our winterscape. This snowy scene has room for the whole group. Why not turn your image into a Christmas card before you leave?
No instax lover could miss a giant film frame floating in the air! The snow paper portrait area has an eye-catching, minimalist backdrop, to make your photo even more special. Make the snap with your instax camera to get a frame within a frame. Frame-ception!
There’s a light show up next, as you swing by the winter’s suns spot. Three colourful spotlights will project your silhouette onto a wall for dreamy results. But there’s still more lighting wonder to come, as you walk beneath our northern lights. This interactive visual display might not be the real thing, but it’s the best you’ll get south of Stockholm.
Nearby, be sure to stop at the mirrored wall! It’s easy to catch some spotlight reflections here, which make for very nice photos. Then it’s just a short trip to the life-size snow globe. Hop in, set a timer on your camera or smartphone outside, then get set to be miniaturised in photo form.
Finally, brave youngsters and fun-loving adults won’t want to miss the yeti’s den. Dive in to get interactive with the biggest, furriest pair of feet you’ll ever see!
Entry is free and you’ll find convenient print kiosks dotted around, to bring your photos to life right there and then.
We can’t wait to see you before January, when our Arctic Adventure melts away and the Christmas countdown starts again.
