FUJIFILM House of Photography Photo Competition 2026

This year, we're inviting entrants to explore the concept of authenticity through their photography. Please submit a series of five images that are connected and convey a genuine sense of the present moment. We encourage viewers to look up from their phones. Your photos can reflect anything related to family, friends, holidays, or any other theme that captures authenticity, that shows us Life As You See It.

Below are the three winners of the FUJIIFILM House of Photography Photo Competition 2026!

'Ode To Sincerity'

'This series is an ode to sincerity. There is a specific kind of beauty in watching someone who isn’t ‘performing’ for a camera or a screen. They are just being. I’ve found that most often, the subjects of my images are completely immersed in a moment - completely sincere in their endeavours, whatever they may be. There is so much beauty in human behaviour; like chasing a patch of shifting sunlight in an empty park, just to make the experience of a book a bit lovelier or watching the world blur past the train beside a dear friend. Sincere pursuits of joy. Sincerity also lives in efforts. I see it in the man moving through a rain-soaked field, entirely dedicated to the task at hand. In a group of hikers, trekking uphill in anticipation of the sights they’ve yet to see. This is life as I see it. I see myself in the woman on a busy road, bag in hand, navigating a very blurry path, but doing so in sincerity.'

'Camilla and Marcella: Welcome and Goodbye'

This series of photographs titled “Camilla and Marcella: welcome and goodbye” explores one of the most special moments in the life of our family: the birth of the first baby, my niece Camilla. The arrival of a new life brought incommensurable joy yet uncertainty into our lives. It reshaped our relationships and the roles each of us occupy. It forced me to wonder: as a new generation enters the door, what will happen to the previous ones? This series was taken all in one afternoon and captures the baby’s first encounter with the eldest of the family - the baby’s great grandma, Marcella. Now living mostly bed-bound, in and out of hospitalisation, constantly wondering when death is going to claim her life to the point of feeling obliged to give a goodbye speech at every family event - she is the only grandparent who lived to see this day. When looking back at the photos I had taken on the day I noticed most of them were centred around my grandmother, rather than my baby niece, who was the protagonist of the celebration. Perhaps an attempt to hold onto her feeble and volatile presence through my photography. The selection of pictures for this entry aims to convey the bittersweetness and nostalgia I experienced on that day. I hope whoever sees these photographs is able to soak in the intimacy and vulnerability of this encounter and the mixed emotions it brought up for us all.

'They Started To Fall On a Monday'

They Started Falling on a Monday After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I began photographing my daily reality as a way to preserve an authentic memory of what I am living through. Chemotherapy makes days blur and fade quickly, so these images become both evidence and emotional translation. All five photographs, taken in my bathroom in London, reflect an intimate and honest attempt to hold onto my changing body, my surroundings, and a future I refuse to ignore.
