*This Itinerary and locations may change on the day

14:15: Arrive back at the House of Photography for a debrief and Q&A session.

For those wishing to stay overnight, there are plenty of hotels in the area. The nearest car park is the Qpark in Chinatown, located on Newport Place, London, WC2H 7PU.

What will you learn?

After an initial refresh on basic camera settings, James will move on to explain valuable exposure techniques — including exposure settings, composition and how to manipulate the highlights and shadows.

These will include tips for street photography, black and white photography, composition, and how to anticipate a compelling story to freeze the moment in time.

As ever, light and exposure are crucial, so they will receive due time and attention as the day progresses. You’ll receive different photo briefs throughout the day to help you experiment with camera settings and photographic techniques.

What kit do you need?

You’re welcome to bring your own set-up, although there will be equipment available for the session. Please ensure you bring an appropriate SD card for the event, this will be needed if you wish to borrow a camera on the day. We recommend bringing at least a 16GB UHS-II SD Card.

Please do contact us on fujifilm_schoolUK@fujifilm.com or call us on 0203 486 4610 if there is anything you want to try. We will try our very best to accommodate you.

As the UK weather is so unpredictable, be sure to pack weather-appropriate clothing, wear comfortable shoes, and take a bottle of water and snacks to keep you going. Though we will have a designated break time to rest, catch up and reset, there will be a lot of walking and time spent outside.
