Alone Together is an evolving experiment that explores genuine connection between audiences through music and memory.
Music has always been how we find our people. But increasingly the spaces where we discover and share it are designed for consumption, not connection. We are more connected than ever and have never felt more isolated. Alone Together is an invitation to step away from the algorithm, into a room, and see what happens when music becomes the starting point for real conversation.
Built on the back of SCENES — an interactive album project where 350+ people contributed personal memories and photographs that became part of the music and artwork — Alone Together moves that experiment into a physical space. It combines visual installations, facilitated connection mechanics, and electronic music. After two sold-out London editions, it comes to FUJIFILM House of Photography for one night.
The evening has two halves.
First, the Alone session. A 45-minute performance from Sound of Fractures and guests that opens quietly and inward — ambient, slow, the kind of listening you sink into — with visuals made from photographs shared by the people in the room. You'll be sitting with someone else's memory while you sit with your own. Then it opens out: colour, collage, movement.
Then, the Together session: A moment to connect through music. What album reminds you of your childhood? If you were a boxer, what would your walk-on song be? What do you put on when you want to feel something? You’ll be invited to choose a conversation card and try an instax™ camera. Share a memory, take a photo, pin it to the wall, and watch the wall fill up as the night goes on. By the end it's a portrait of all the connections made, stories shared and new memories formed.

About Sound of Fractures
Jamie Reddington, known artistically as Sound of Fractures, is a UK-based electronic artist, producer, and educator experimenting with how we connect through music. With 20 years of experience across the music industry and as Deputy Course Leader of MA Music Management at Westminster University, Jamie combines practical innovation with academic research to explore new creative career models.
Drawing from UK dance music, hip-hop, and soul—with influences from Jamie xx, Burial, and Bicep—Jamie creates what he calls "emotional electronic music," blending found sounds (including his daughter's heartbeat) with personal storytelling. His work has been featured on BBC Radio 1 and covered by Mixmag, Music Ally, and Magnetic Magazine.
Jamie's previous project, SCENES, engaged 350+ fans who contributed memories and photos that became integral to the album artwork and experience, achieving over 1 million streams while maintaining its collaborative core. His approach champions world-building over algorithms, asking audiences to participate rather than just consume.
What can you expect from this event?

18:00 – 18:45: Welcome
Meet Jamie and friends, and make your own AAA (Access All Areas) pass with your name and the aspect of music you’d love to chat about- perhaps a favourite artist, album, genre or festival
18:45 – 19:45: Alone
A 45-minute ambient performance on the first floor of FUJIFILM House of Photography.
The visuals in the first half are personal photographs — memory as the prompt. Then it opens out into colour and video collage.
19:45 – 21:00: Together
A moment to connect through music. Meet someone new, pick a conversation card, try an instax™ camera, share stories and build memories. Jamie and friends will make introductions while the photo wall builds to a shared portrait of human connection.
