Multiple exposure photography is one of the most imaginative techniques in the photographer’s toolkit. It lets you layer images directly in-camera without editing software, no editing software needed. Led by award-winning educator Janina Wilde, this one-day London masterclass takes you out into the city to create layered, atmospheric images of some of its most iconic landmarks.

Who will be joining you?

Janina Wilde is an award-winning photographer and educator who specialises in in-camera multiple exposure photography. As founder of Wilde Photography Academy, she’s built a reputation for making complex creative techniques feel immediately accessible, helping photographers see everyday scenes in new ways and produce expressive, atmospheric images directly in-camera.

Her own images blend movement, texture, and light to evoke mood and tell visual stories, and she brings that same sense of adventure to everything she teaches.

Key information for attendees

If you’re interested in attending our photography workshop with Janina, you will find all the information you need to join us on this exciting event below.

Location: Central London landmarks (Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Waterloo Bridge)

Meeting point: FUJIFILM House of Photography, 8–9 Long Acre, London WC2E 9LH

Date: 4th September 2026

Time: 11:30 – 18:30

Price: £299.00

What can you expect from this workshop?

Hands-on techniques practised on real London locations, not in a classroom:

  • Camera rotation between exposures — Create striking architectural patterns from buildings like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
  • In-focus and out-of-focus layering — Combine sharp and blurred exposures to add depth and atmosphere to a single frame.
  • Intentional camera movement (ICM) — Moving the camera deliberately during an exposure produces painterly, cross-form structures when combined with a second sharp shot.
  • In-camera blend modes — Learn what each mode does (Add, Average, Bright, Dark) and when to use each for different creative effects.
  • Multi-angle building exposures — Photograph a landmark from multiple angles, then layer the exposures for an impressionistic, multi-perspective result.

  • Confident use of your camera’s multiple exposure and blend mode settings
  • A working understanding of ICM and how to control it for creative effect
  • A portfolio of in-camera multiple exposure images of London’s landmarks

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Fujifilm camera to take part?

No. Bring any camera with a multiple exposure mode. FUJIFILM cameras and lenses are also available to borrow on the day at no extra cost.

Is this workshop suitable for beginners?

This masterclass suits photographers already comfortable with manual settings. If you’re new to photography, try one of the FUJIFILM School beginner sessions first.

What is intentional camera movement (ICM)?

ICM means moving the camera deliberately during an exposure to create blur and painterly shapes. On this workshop you’ll combine ICM with a second sharp exposure for striking, layered results.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If official weather warnings affect safety, FUJIFILM School may reschedule. The workshop runs in typical London rain. Pack a waterproof layer. Overcast skies often produce the best multiple exposure results.

Can I cancel or transfer my booking?

Cancel at least 10 working days before the event for a full refund. Later cancellations are non-refundable. Email fujifilm_schoolUK@fujifilm.com with any booking queries.
