Carl Hare
Hampshire-based Carl Hare pairs creative experience with technical know-how as a freelance photographer and FUJIFILM UK Product Specialist. His photography spans many genres, and while his professional roots trace back to weddings, Carl is equally adept at studio portraiture, street photography, landscapes and wildlife.
Keen to share his wealth of knowledge, Carl has delivered photography workshops for close to a decade. His passion for the outdoors is a constant source of inspiration, and when he can combine it with his teaching skills, there’s simply nothing better — for him and his students.

What can you expect from this wildlife photography photowalk workshop?
From the confident four-legged friends along tree-lined paths to the majestic resident pelicans, this 3-hour workshop is designed to spark creativity and connection with nature right in the heart of the city.
Using your own FUJIFILM gear or a selection of appropriate FUJIFILM equipment provided by the FUJIFILM School, you’ll experiment with tracking fast-moving subjects, exploring macro details and capturing the harmony of nature and the city by framing birds with the iconic London skyline in the background. This workshop will start with a 60-minute theory session at the FUJIFILM House of Photography and is aimed at photography beginners and enthusiasts. Whether you want to test out your camera's advanced features or just enjoy a day out with our photography community, you are more than welcome!

11:30 – 12:30: Theory & Setup Session at FUJIFILM House of Photography
12:30 – 12:50: Transit to St James's Park
12:50 – 13:10: South-East Quarter (Duck Island)
13:10 – 13:30: South-West Quarter (Birdcage Walk Side)
13:30 – 13:50: North-West Quarter (Buckingham Palace End)
13:50 – 14:10: North-East Quarter (The Mall Side)
14:10 – 14:30: Walk back to the FUJIFILM House of Photography and de-brief.
What will you learn?
After an initial theory session to introduce the core concepts of wildlife photography and dial in everyone’s FUJIFILM cameras, we will move on to explain valuable techniques. You will receive different photo briefs throughout the session to help you experiment, including:
What kit do you need?
While we encourage you to bring your own camera setup, a selection of appropriate FUJIFILM equipment will be available for use during the session. As the UK weather is so unpredictable, be sure to pack weather-appropriate clothing, wear comfortable shoes, and take a bottle of water and snacks to keep you going. Though we will have a designated break time to rest, catch up and reset, there will be a lot of walking and time spent outside.
Activity and mobility requirements for attendees
This workshop around London is suited for photographers with a moderate activity level. All locations are only a short walk within the city, however, there are some areas that might not be fully wheelchair accessible. Please note that there are some inclined walks during the day. There will be lots of opportunities to take a break from walking, though this may not always be indoors.
First Aid
Your photo walk leaders are fully First Aid Trained for outdoor activities and will always carry a full Outdoors First Aid kit.

Terms and Conditions for FUJIFILM School Events
1. Event Confirmation and Minimum Attendance
1.1 Once you have purchased a ticket, your place on the day will be reserved and you will receive a confirmation email.
1.2 FUJIFILM School endeavours to conduct events as scheduled. However, all events are subject to a minimum number of delegates, which is set at three (3) participants.
1.3 In the event that the minimum number of delegates is not met, FUJIFILM School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event. Participants will be informed of any such changes at the earliest possible opportunity.
1.4 You need to be at least 18 years of age to take part in this event and a disclaimer form will need to be completed on the day to take part in the day’s activity. In case of emergency on the day, please email fujifilm_schoolUK@fujifilm.com.
2. Adverse Weather Conditions
2.1 Safety is a top priority for FUJIFILM School. If there are adverse weather conditions or official weather warnings that may affect the safety or feasibility of conducting an event, FUJIFILM School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event.
2.2 Participants will be notified as soon as possible in the event of cancellation or rescheduling due to weather-related issues.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
3.1 If an event is cancelled or rescheduled by FUJIFILM School due to insufficient numbers or adverse weather conditions, participants will be offered the option to transfer their booking to the rescheduled event date, another event, or receive a full refund.
3.2 FUJIFILM School will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by participants due to the cancellation or rescheduling of an event.
4. Participant Cancellations
4.1 Participants wishing to cancel their attendance must provide notice in accordance with FUJIFILM School's cancellation policy to be eligible for a refund or transfer. If circumstances change and you need to cancel your place, please let us know 10 working days before the event and we will be happy to issue you a refund in full. Places cancelled after this time are non-refundable.
5. Communication
5.1 FUJIFILM School will use the contact information provided at the time of booking to communicate any changes or cancellations. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that their contact details are current and accurate.
By booking an event with FUJIFILM School, participants acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. FUJIFILM School reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes that may affect their booking.
