Immerse yourself in a festive photography experience this December as you join Linda Koolen on a seasonal Photowalk. Part Christmas adventure, part photography workshop, you’ll discover how to create images that showcase London at its wintery finest.

After studying photography in the Netherlands Linda Koolen packed her bags and moved to London. Inspiration for her photography comes from everyday life and the people surrounding her in this vibrant city, however she will travel into nature whenever she gets a chance. In her free time she mostly enjoys street and landscape photography but she has a never ending curiosity for everything photography related. Her passion for sharing her knowledge with others have resulted in her joining the Fujifilm family and she can't wait for you to join along the way!

Heaving with character, history and festive fun, London transforms into a winter wonderland of photographic opportunity throughout the holiday season.
During this guided Photowalk, Linda Koolen will take you around some of the capital’s best Christmas locations. An immersive photography experience, you’ll be able to create memorable images of the sights and lights. All the while, Linda will offer essential low-light tips on composition, exposure and focusing.
You’re welcome to bring your own set-up, although a selection of the latest Fujifilm cameras and lenses will be available on the day. Photographers travelling light are also welcome to borrow 3-Legged Thing tripods. Please do let us know if there is anything in particular you are wanting to try and we will try our very best to accommodate you.
We recommend bringing a bottle of water — or a flask of hot tea — and dressing for chilly and potentially wet December weather so you can be comfortable and warm throughout the photography experience.
Meet at the FUJIFILM House of Photography for an introduction to Linda and your fellow photographers, then receive a briefing on the route and health and safety guidelines. Pick up Linda’s tips on the best exposure settings for low-light conditions, discover what locations you’ll be covering, and then begin the walk.
Visit picture-worthy locations around the West End at a pace comfortable for all. There may be some stairs. Linda will offer imaging guidance throughout.
Finish at the House of Photography to recap the evening’s events with a short debrief.
Our photography Photowalks offer a wonderful opportunity to practise your photography and try out new techniques under the supervision of an expert. Linda will provide tips on composition and how to determine the best exposure for night-time images. She’ll show you how to use manual exposure control, and how to utilise your tripod in the urban environment. She will also cover long exposure techniques and light trails.
In addition, you’ll visit some of the best festive locations in London. Stops include Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Carnaby Street and Oxford Circus. Whether you’re seeing the lights for the first time or have visited on numerous occasions before, you’re sure to create something new.
Unless otherwise stated, tickets do not include any other expenses, such as train fares, meals, taxis, parking charges, etc.
Once you have purchased a ticket, your place on the day will be reserved. If circumstances change and you need to cancel your place, please let us know 10 working days before the event and we will happily issue a full refund. Places cancelled after this time are non-refundable.
