Chris is a professional photographer specialising in Travel, Landscape and Social Documentary photography. He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and is proud to have been an official Fujifilm X Photographer for 8 years.
Chris has received awards in national and international photographic competitions and has twice been commissioned to photograph by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. His images are represented by several international stock agencies and his images have sold to clients around the world.
Chris’s ability to connect and communicate, sharing his knowledge, means that he is in great demand as a speaker and as a tutor on his workshops and tours in the UK and abroad.
The Peak District is one of Chris’s favourite locations, living only an hour away, and an area he visits regularly and where he runs very popular workshops.

OVERVIEW & KIT
Join us to photograph a range of stunning landscape locations in the Peak District, Britain’s first National Park.
With its dramatic grit stone edges, rolling moorland, wooded valleys and tumbling streams the Peak District is a fabulous location and this workshop is designed to help you get the most from your Fujifilm equipment.
This Xperience Day is open to photographers of all levels, with a range of beginner and advanced techniques on offer.
X Series cameras are ideal to shoot landscapes especially when teamed with zoom lenses from wideangle to telephoto. A range of Fujifilm cameras and lenses will also be available on the day, including the new X-H2s.
Photographers travelling lighter are also welcome to borrow tripods. A free 16GB SD card will be yours to keep, although we recommend bringing your own as a spare. A packed lunch, drinks, boots or walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather are also essential.
ON THE DAY

Meet at 10:00 AM for a coffee or tea with Chris and your fellow photographers.

Enjoy a short briefing session, outlining landscape settings and the techniques you’ll learn.

You will learn about Landscape workflow, how to see a picture and how to capture it

We will visit several varied locations during the day, taking break for a 45-minute lunch, - an opportunity to catch up on your fellow photographers’ highlights of the day.

After lunch we’ll continue to more locations, learning and refining techniques. Lunch is not provided and there may not always be shops or cafés close by, it is advised to bring a packed lunch with you.
The day will end around 5:00 PM.

Level of physical difficulty: 3 out of 5 (Moderate)
We will be visiting several locations and, whilst this won’t involve extensive distances, we will be walking up and down stream valleys and up onto one of the gritstone edges. The ground is uneven, steep in places, and care is required walking over stones, boulders and moss covered tree roots

Once you have purchased a ticket your place on the day will be reserved. If circumstances change and you need to cancel your place, please let us know 10 days before the event and we will be happy to issue you a refund in full. Refunds after this time are non refundable. You need to be at least 18 years of age in order to take part in this event and a disclaimer form will need to be completed on the day in order to take part in the day’s activity.
