What is the "Life As You See It" Nostalgic Dreams Competition?

This year, we are asking entrants to explore the idea of nostalgia in their photography. You are invited to submit a series of five images. The images should connect and express a feeling of nostalgia and memory, whether related to family, friends, holidays, archives, childhood, or anything with a sense of familiarity that connects to the theme of nostalgia.

Competition Overview

The three winners will be selected to extend their projects, which will be shot on a FUJIFILM QuickSnap camera™ and will be featured in our summer exhibition 'Nostalgic Dreams: Celebrating 40 years of QuickSnap™'.

Each entry must include:

- Five Images
- A short description (250-500 words) outlining the theme and narrative of the project

Photos can be taken using any camera (for example, a Fujifilm camera, film camera, or an iPhone). This is an amateur photograpy competition, so we're looking for creativity, not just technicality.

Our judges* will be looking at how well the brief is met and selecting the projects that best capture nostalgia.

Submissions Open: 1st of February 2026

Submissions Close: 30th of April 2026

What must you do to enter?

- Winners must ensure they are free to create their projects in the month of May 2026.

- They must work with us to find a day where Fujifilm can follow you to film you capturing part of your project.

- Images must be your own.

- You must have permission from all of those depicted in your images where distinguishable.

Photography Competition Prizes

Winners will have their work featured in our summer exhibition, 'Nostalgic Dreams', held at FUJIFILM House of Photography in Covent Garden and opening on the 1st July 2026.

Winners will feature in a brand video, documenting the process of them capturing their project.

Winners will also receive a year's supply of FUJIFILM QuickSnap™ (12 QuickSnap™ cameras), along with processing.
