Linda Koolen

FUJIFILM Product Specialist

After studying photography in the Netherlands Linda Koolen packed her bags and moved to London. Inspiration for her photography comes from everyday life and the people surrounding her in this vibrant city, however she will travel into nature whenever she gets a chance. In her free time she mostly enjoys street and landscape photography but she has a never ending curiosity for everything photography related. Her passion for sharing her knowledge with others have resulted in her joining the Fujifilm family and she can't wait for you to join along the way!

Carl Hare

FUJIFILM Product Specialist

Carl Hare pairs creative experience with technical know-how as a freelance photographer and FUJIFILM UK Product Specialist. His photography spans many genres, and while his professional roots trace back to weddings, Carl is equally adept at studio portraiture, street photography, landscapes and wildlife.

Keen to share his wealth of knowledge, Carl has delivered photography workshops for close to a decade. His passion for the outdoors is a constant source of inspiration, and when he can combine it with his teaching skills, there’s simply nothing better – for him and his students.

Meet at Brunel Square - outside Bath Spa Train Station.

OVERVIEW

This walk is great for photographers who are new to the Fujifilm system, are coming back into photography after a break or who just want a gentle photographic walk.  With a lot of freedom to work at your own pace, Linda will help you navigate your way around and help you produce great images.

All locations are only a short walk within Bath City Centre. However, there are some inclined walks and some steps down to the Parade Gardens and River Avon at Pultney Bridge (East Side of the river).

KIT

You’re welcome to bring your own set-up, although a selection of FUJIFILM X/GFX products will be available on the day for you to try! As the UK weather is so unpredictable, be sure to pack weather-appropriate clothing, wear comfortable shoes, and take a bottle of water and snack to keep you going. Though we will have a designated break time to rest, catchup and reset, there will be a lot of walking and time spent outside. A limited amount of FUJIFILM kit will be available to try, plus a small selection of 3 Legged Thing tripods and Kase filters where needed.

If you’d prefer to have your own selected equipment, you can arrange a free, 48-hour Try Before You Buy loan in advance.

These will include tips for street photography and black and white photography, composition and how to anticipate a compelling story to freeze the moment in time. As ever, light and exposure are crucial, so they will receive due time and attention as the day progresses. Different photo briefs will be set throughout the day to help everybody experiment with camera settings and photographic techniques.
