OVERVIEW AND KIT

Join us to photograph a range of stunning landscape locations in the Peak District, Britain’s first National Park.
With its dramatic grit stone edges, rolling moorland, wooded valleys and tumbling streams the Peak District is a fabulous location and this workshop is designed to help you get the most from your Fujifilm equipment.

This Xperience Day is open to photographers of all levels, with a range of beginner and advanced techniques on offer.
X Series cameras are ideal to shoot landscapes especially when teamed with zoom lenses from wideangle to telephoto. You’re welcome to bring your own set-up, although a selection of the latest Fujifilm cameras and lenses will be available on the day. Photographers travelling lighter are also welcome to borrow 3LeggedThing tripods and Kase filters where needed. Please do let us know if there is anything in particular you are wanting to try and we will try our very best to accommodate you.
The Peak District is a vast landscape and does require a lot of walking. Some route will require some climbing and a few inclines, though we will be stopping for breaks, please bear in mind there isn’t always a comfortable place to sit down.

A packed lunch, drinks, boots or walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather are also essential.

ON THE DAY

Meet at 10:00 AM for a coffee or tea with Chris and your fellow photographers. Enjoy a short briefing session, outlining landscape settings and the techniques you’ll learn.

You will learn about Landscape workflow, how to see a picture and how to capture it

We will visit several varied locations during the day, taking break for a 45-minute lunch, - an opportunity to catch up on your fellow photographers’ highlights of the day.

After lunch we’ll continue to more locations, learning and refining techniques. Lunch is not provided and there may not always be shops or café’s close by, it is advised to bring a packed lunch with you.

The day will end around 4:00 PM.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

You will learn about the features of your Fujifilm equipment that will help with your landscape photography including, metering modes, how to expose, understanding histograms and how to use them, where and how to focus using AF and MF and how to bracket exposures. We’ll discuss landscape workflow and settings for tripod based shots v hand held. We’ll look at using filters, how to shoot panorama’s and try some creative techniques such as Multiple exposures and ICM.  Of course no landscape day would be complete without discussing composition, the one thing that the camera can’t do for us!

PLEASE NOTE

Tickets do not include any other expenses, train fares, meals, taxis, parking charges, etc. Unless otherwise stated.
